FRIENDS

We were contacted by Maria Sapia who wanted to know if we would be interested in receiving catnip filled toys for our organization.  We jumped on the invitation since our organization is non-profit and we love to supply our cats with toys when they find new homes.

When I read the attached article, it warmed my heart that children were getting involved in helping animals in their own way.

Maria must be very proud of her daughter, Jessica and the other girls in the troop.

Here is a list of the items needed to keep up their great work and the address where to send them:

~ Clean socks (run them through the washer first). Sweat socks and fuzzy socks are terrific! Any size socks are welcome. Even socks with holes in them are fine – the girls are experts at making a toy from almost any sock!

~ Polyester fill (like what goes inside pillows)

~ Kitty-grade Catnip

Keep in mind, socks that are not acceptable are thin synthetics or nylons because kitties have sharp claws, and even sharper teeth, and these just aren’t durable enough.
